Police in Kampala have arrested social media influencer Nyanzi Kenneth Lukyamuzi, popularly known as Mukalakasa, over allegations of sodomizing a minor.
The allegations stem from a video reportedly recorded in 2018 in Kajjansi, which allegedly shows him and others still at large engaging in unnatural acts.
On 24th March 2026, the suspect was apprehended in Kampala and is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
In a statement on X, Kawala Rachael, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson confirmed the arrest. However, the suspect, along with others are still at large.
“The case file will soon be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions for review and guidance,” She added.
Earlier this week, Hon. Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Barugahara Balaam Ateeny, confirmed that the suspect surrendered himself to authorities and is cooperating with CID investigations.
He appealed to the investigators to handle this matter with the utmost seriousness, diligence, and transparency to ensure justice is served.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other suspects connected to the case.
