UPDF, FARDC Rescue Six from ADF Terrorists in DRC

The ongoing joint operations by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) have rescued a total of six people from ADF rebels.

 

A military source confirmed that three women and three children were rescued on Thursday, August 10th 2023 during the ongoing operation in the general areas of Mwalika Valley where at eelast one Allied Democratic Forces rebel was killed.

The joint forces further recovered 204 rounds of PMK Machine gun, 41 rounds of Sub-Machine Gun and 03 empty magazines.

The joint forces under the command of Maj Chombe are still combing the Valley of Mwalika, North Kivu Province the Eastern DR Congo.

Arrangements have already been made to evacuate the rescued.
