MENGO: Stop Talking about Kabaka’s Sickness

Mengo is concerned about the manner in which the detractors have relentlessly been spreading false information regarding Kabaka's health, adding that this has continued to harm the Mengo establishment as well as its people.

The Katikkiro of the Buganda Kingdom, Charles Peter Mayiga, has warned those claiming that the health of His Royal Highness Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II in Namibia has continued to deteriorate.

Mayiga was addressing the media on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at Bulange-Mengo on behalf of the Royal Family about the current state of health in Kabaka.

He confirmed that the leader of Buganda is currently undergoing medical care and having rest as guided by the doctors in Namibia.

He said Kabaka would return to the country as soon as he gets fully well and maintained that he is not bedridden; however, his visit to Namibia was recommended by medical specialists in Germany.

According to Mayiga, Kabaka had previously gone for a routine medical checkup following a long period of treatment so as to take more time off work for a complete recovery.

Mayiga condemned those whom he accused of spreading false information about the health of the King through social media.

Katikkiro re-assured the entire kingdom that the Kabaka would return home on the recommendation of his doctors soon after he recovered.
