Forum for Democratic Change youth leaders are demanding the resignation of Nandala Mafabi and Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat.

The leaders drawn from Kawempe, Kayunga, and Mbale, led by the Wakiso district FDC party youth Chairperson Charles Nkonge, held a joint press briefing at the Katonga office that belongs to Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye in Kampala on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

They described both Nandala and Amuriat as dictators whose interests were quite against the party.

Nkonge and his group accused the duo of lack of transparency, pinning them for receiving billions of shillings from unclear sources since 2020.

“As the members of the youth league, we are extremely dismayed by the conduct of the leadership of Amuriat and Nandala. Their actions have tainted our party,” he said.

“As we speak, it’s very hard to find an organized group functioning normally. All groups, political, social, business, and so on, are intentionally destabilized by the junta. This is one of the avenues that the Junta uses to continue holding Ugandans at ransom”, Nkonge notes.
