Brave Man who Seized Assailants of Ndiga Clan Leader gets Nalubaale Medal

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has  awarded Abdul Katabazi, with the Nalubaale Medal for pursuing and seizing the assistants who killed the Ndiga clan leader, Engineer Daniel Bbosa  on Febrauy 25, 2024.

The President accompanied by the First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni, awarded Katabazi with the Nalubaale medal which is given to civilians who have contributed politically to the development of the country, either through armed struggle or civil disobedience.

The function took place at State House Entebbe on March 4, 2024.

Speaking at the function, President Museveni commended Katabazi’s bravery and his fight for a noble cause.

“I want to congratulate you for a heroic job, you have now become a bush war fighter like me. I pledge to award and support other boda boda men who participated in the capture of the assassins,” the President said.

Katabazi, a plumber and motorcycle rider in Kikandwa zone Lungujja, Rubaga division, who pursued the assailants who shot and killed Eng. Bbosa, a 72-year-old leader of Buganda Ndiga clan, thanked President Museveni for the award.

“Thank you your Excellency the President of Uganda for recognizing me with a medal and giving me chance to meet you,” Katabazi said.

Engineer Bbosa, the Director of Transa Electrical and the leader of Buganda Ndiga clan was gunned down on Sunday, February 25, 2024, while returning home with his family in Rubaga from Buikwe where he had gone to meet with the clan members.
