The incident happened on October 22, 2024, in Bugana and Serinya villages, Butenga sub-county in Bukomansimbi district.

Initial reports show that the thugs were fearless, strong, and muscular youth who had different tools and equipment that they used to break into people’s homes to steal.

In an interview with journalists on October 22, 2024, one of the locals identified as Ibra Musoke revealed that the thugs were coordinated and were breaking into people’s homes without the fear of being caught.

Musoke added that they robbed over 20 homes in Bugana and Serinya villages; however, they left no one harmed and scattered different SIM cards from different phones in the villages they stole them from.

’’These thugs were only interested in mobile phones and hard cash, and their appearance was enough for one to give them what they wanted without fighting them,” Musoke disclosed.
