NUP President Bobi Wine Injured by Tear Gas Canister

The president of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) has been injured with a tear gas canister on his left leg during an altercation with Uganda police on Tuesday, 3 September 2024.

Kyagulanyi was from visiting NUP Counsel George Musisi’s in Bulindo, Kira, Kampala.

He was rushed to Najeem medical Centre in Kira-Bulindo where he got first aid and he was referred to Nsambya hospital for further treatment.

Our reporter interviewed the medical personal who attended to him who preferred to remain anonymous said that Kyagulanyi was hit with a teargas canister which hurt his legs.

“Kyagulanyi was hit with a teargas canister which hurt his legs, and part of his chest,” she stated.

However, a private security guard at the scene, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that it appeared to be a bullet injury.

Kyagulnyi was later taken to Nsambya hospital for further management. Developing story….
