NAKASEKE: Police Probe Murder of Boda Boda Rider by Passenger

Police in Nakaseke District are investigating the murder of a 28-year-old Boda Boda motorcyclist, allegedly murdered by the passenger he was transporting.

The victim, identified as Adam Jiuko, was a resident of Kalule Village in Nyembo Sub-County, Luwero District, who operated from Kalule Stage in Kalule Trading Centre near the Kampala-Gulu Highway in Luwero district.

The Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Sam Twiineamazima, confirmed the incident on September 16, 2024, and said a case of murder has been opened and more information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

“The deceased picked a passenger from Kalule stage who was going to Nakaseke district. But when they reached Kyangato village, the passenger hit him on the head with a metal object, leaving him critically injured,” Twiineamazima said.

He further said that the assailant fled with the deceased’s motorcycle, a red Bajaj Boxer, registration number UFY 267F. Twiineamazima added that the deceased was found by his fellow boda boda riders, who rushed him to Bombo Hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.

Twiineamazima called upon anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.

Boda boda riders in Nakaseke District have called for heightened security measures to ensure safety.
