After years of service as Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mbale, Naomi Nakawala has officially handed over her office following a transfer to Buyende District.
Confirming her transfer on Saturday, 27th September, 2025, Nakawala stated that Samuel Kashaka, who previously served as Deputy RDC of Buyende, has been appointed to replace her in Mbale.
Nakawala reflected on her time in Mbale, describing it as a fulfilling chapter marked by teamwork and community support.
She expressed gratitude to the people of Mbale for the cooperation that enabled her to discharge her duties effectively.
During her tenure, Nakawala became known for strengthening local government coordination and nurturing strong ties with stakeholders across the district.
She noted that these achievements would not have been possible without the goodwill of the community and the commitment of leaders she worked alongside.
“I am deeply grateful for the community’s support and the strong commitment of the leaders I worked with, together, we made so much possible,” Nakawala said.
As she moves to Buyende, where she replaces Kashaka, Nakawala pledged to carry forward the same spirit of service and dedication.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to mobilizing support for President Museveni and the NRM candidates in Buyende, aiming to secure victories across all positions in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
Nakawala’s transfer marks both an end and a new beginning, closing a chapter of impactful service in Mbale while opening a fresh opportunity to foster community engagement and leadership in Buyende, as she steps into her new role ahead of the 2026 elections.
