The construction of Bushogye Moslem Seed Secondary School in Nyakinoni Sub-County, Kanungu District, is yielding visible progress, with construction now 72% complete.

Funded by the government with UGX 2.3 billion investment, the project aims to promote literacy and education transformation in the area.

This was revealed during the fourth stakeholder site meeting, where project milestones were reviewed, challenges discussed, and final-phase strategies outlined. Stakeholders expressed satisfaction with both the pace and quality of work.

Henry Kyeyune, Site Engineer for G-Head Engineering Ltd, emphasized the team’s commitment to meeting the project deadline and delivering the facility on time.

District spokesperson Adams Twaha Mwajuma provided updates on the progress, noting that the Administration Block, two Classroom Blocks, and the Staff House are currently at the plastering stage.

“The ICT and Library Block, Staff Kitchen, and Science Laboratory have reached the roofing phase, while the Multipurpose Hall is undergoing roof covering and other external works, including plastering and landscaping,” he said.

The 5-stance VIP latrines for both boys and girls have reached the wall plate stage, with additional facilities, such as the Staff VIP latrine and the leveled playground, also in progress.

Mwajuma acknowledged minor setbacks typical of large-scale projects but affirmed that work is moving steadily.

Stakeholders remain optimistic that, through continued collaboration between engineers, local leaders, and the community, Bushogye Moslem Seed School will emerge as a transformative institution for the people of Kanungu District.
