The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and the entire Ugandan women’s football community are mourning the sudden passing of Scovia Angeyango, FUFA Delegate and Chief Executive Officer of Lady Doves FC.
The announcement was made in a statement by FUFA on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Angeyango was widely respected for her dedication, passion, and significant contributions to the advancement of women’s football in Uganda.
“The late Angeyango will be deeply missed in football circles for her dedication, passion, and contribution to the growth of the women’s game in Uganda,” Magogo said.
FUFA President Moses Hassim Magogo praised her as a young, committed leader who loved football deeply and was devoted to supporting and giving back to the game, especially for women.
Magogo emphasized that Scovia’s impact on the football community was immeasurable, and her loss will be deeply felt by FUFA Assembly members, Lady Doves FC, the Kitara Region Football Association, and the broader women’s football fraternity.
Angeyango served as a FUFA Assembly delegate since 2021 and was recently re-elected for the 2025–2029 term. She also played a key role on the FUFA TV Cup Organizing Committee, with her latest involvement being the tournament hosted at St. Joseph’s College Layibi in Gulu.
On behalf of FUFA’s Executive, Delegates, Secretariat staff, and the wider football community, heartfelt condolences have been extended to her family, friends, Lady Doves FC, the Kitara Region Football Association, the Uganda Women Football Association, and the National Women Football Leagues during this difficult time.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
