Dancehall musician Mikie Wine, real name Michael Mukwaya, is set to hold his concert, which he has dubbed “Tusaabale,” on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.

Mikie Wine’s music career breakthrough came in 2008 with his song “Yanimba,” which he sang with BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo in 2008. The two friends later added “Wabulirawa” while he was still singing under the music label of Firebase Crew; however, he later left and started his own label called Big Talent. Wine has done music collaborations with other artists like Irene Ntaale, Chosen Becky, and others.

The 33-year-old Sulubada lead singer is known for his songs like Yanimba, Mwali Bana, Guno Omwaka, Empeta, Olunaku Lweluno, Kasonga Katono, Party Time, Tonelaga, Tetukyasoboka, Egaali Ekozeeko, Labisa, Wabulirawa, Juliana, and many others.

While Wine will be having his “Tusaabale” concert, Ugandan rapper Gravity Omutujju will also be holding the “Embaga Ya Isma N’amina” concert at the cricket oval. This is not the first time Ugandan artists are holding concerts on the same day: Maurice Kirya and Geosteady, Pallaso and Alien Skin, and others. The beauty of this is that each musician always has his own fan base, and both concerts always register good attendance.

The lovers of Mikie Wine’s music will part with UGX 20.000 for ordinary, UGX 50.000 for VIP, and UGX 3M for a table to access the Tusaabale Concert.

Mikie Wine is a young brother to NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine. He was musically mentored under the Firebase crew, which is owned by Bobi Wine, as early as 2007.
