The three nude anti-corruption protestors, Norah Kobusingye, Kemitoma Kyenzibo, and Praise Aloikin Opoloje

The three nude anti-corruption protestors, Norah Kobusingye, Kemitoma Kyenzibo, and Praise Aloikin Opoloje, have been released on non-cash bail by the Buganda Road Court.

While appearing before Court on September 12, 2024, the protestors were granted bail after its application hearing.

On September 2, 2024, the naked protestors took to the street of Kampala, significantly naked and carrying placards, chanting protests against corruption and demanding the resignation of the Speaker.

The trio was later arrested and arraigned before Chief Magistrate, Ronald Kayiizi, on charges of being common nuisance under the Penal Code but denied the charges, after which they were remanded for failure to provide substantial sureties for bail.

The nude protestors are part of the July protests and popular March to Parliament, orchestrated by Gen Z to crack down on the increased cases of corruption and demand for the resignation of the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among.
