Ugandans have reacted to the boxing match between socialite Shakib Cham, real names Shakib Lutaaya, and legendary media personality JK, real names Dave J. Kazoora.

The fight, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Lugogo Arena in Kampala, will play host to the highly anticipated Uganda corporate boxing match.

The event, however, has left many Ugandans, especially the lovers of the boxing game, wondering if indeed the fight will take place or if it is a social media stunt.

While talking to a Nexus reporter, one Joseph Niwandinda asked if this was not a personal fight being brought to the ring.

“Is this real, or they are fighting over Zari, and they want all this to end in the ring?” Niwandinda asked.

Deborah Kunihiira posted on social media X, wondering if the two men are now into boxing.

Charlotte Murungi, a boxing fan, while speaking to our reporter, asked how the two handsome men were getting involved in a ring fight.

“It baffles me how these two handsome men can engage in a ring fight. But when did J.K. start boxing? This is a must-attend fight. I cannot wait to watch them beat up one another,” Murungi said.

In a phone interview, JK confirmed that that fight will happen, and the tickets are running out due to the high demand.

“The fight is very much on. The tickets are in high demand, so one should buy them before they run out,” JK confirmed.

Two days ago, Shakib posted on his Facebook page confirming the fight, assuring his fans of a thrilling and entertaining experience.

“Boxing is a brutal game, but that’s what makes it so thrilling! Let’s gamble on the outcome and make it even more exciting,” Shakib wrote.

According to the event organizers, tickets will go for Ugx 20,000 for ordinary, Ugx 50,000 for VIP, Ugx 100,000 for VVIP, and Ugx 1M and 2M for tables.
