This incident happened in Kiwempe in Makndye division, Kansanga on Monday, September 23, 2024, when the driver of a Subaru car lost control and knocked down several boda bodas.

According to one of the eyewitnesses identified as John Musoke, the driver of the Subaru car might have been drunk driving, so when his car lost control, he knocked and injured the several boda boda riders around the Kiwempe stage.

Musoke added that when the Subaru driver saw what he had done, he panicked and wanted to drive off; however, there was a boda boda stuck under his car, which he dragged while attempting to run away; however, his car burst into flames.

“The fire that gutted the Subaru might have been caused by the dragging of the boda boda, which made the petrol leak from it catch fire and the car burst into flames,’’ Musoke disclosed.
