The healthy baby girl, weighing 3.6 kg, was born to proud parents, marking another success for the hospital’s IVF program.

Dr Diana Atwine, the Executive Director of Mulago Hospital, shared the exciting news on social media, expressing her pride in the hospital’s achievements.

The IVF services were introduced at Mulago Hospital in August 2024 as part of the hospital’s effort to expand access to advanced specialized care.

Since the program’s launch, the hospital has confirmed 11 successful pregnancies, making this delivery a noteworthy achievement for both the medical team and the families they serve.

“This is a milestone worth celebrating as we continue expanding access to advanced specialized services across the country,” Dr Atwine added.

The hospital’s IVF services are part of a broader initiative to enhance fertility treatments in Uganda, providing families struggling with infertility a much-needed option.

The success of this second IVF delivery reinforces Mulago Hospital’s commitment to offering cutting-edge healthcare services.
