The National Unity Platform party (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi failed to proceed to Otuke as floods cut off Otuke- Alebtong road connection at Anara village after failing to cross Apak swamp.

While addressing residents at the border of Alebtong and Otuke on October, 28, 2025 Kyagulanyi said that due to the poor roads the people of Alebtong have all the reasons to vote out the current government because it hasn’t delivered for the people.

“This shows you that this part of Uganda has been forgotten, the people from this part of Uganda pay taxes and look at the roads they have, the state of the roads shows you the state of hospitals and schools, and that’s why we want change,” Kyagulanyi said.

Kyagulanyi also noted that the dire state of roads, hospitals and other infrastructure is not just limited to Lango sub region but also to most parts of the country but also promised to do his best to reach all parts of the country.

“This is what we want to change, this is the same situation in Buganda, Busoga, Ankole, Karamoja and other parts of the country, to change this we need a new Uganda a new president who cares about the country and is concerned about the situation,” Kyagulanyi added.

Kyagulanyi who was supposed to Campaign in Alebtong and Otuke on Tuesday will continue to Karamoja subregion on Wednesday October, 29th, 2025.

As he visits Abim and Kotido before proceeding to Kaabong, Karenga, kitgum, Lamwo, Agago and Pader as he handles Part of Lango and part of Karamoja sub region.
