Buganda Kingdom has appointed a new Ndiga clan head following the death of Daniel Bbosa, the former clan leader.

Eria Lwasi Buzaabo, the son of the late Luggya Lwasi, who was a celebrated journalist and teacher, will succeed the late Daniel Bbosa.

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, formally introduced the new Ndiga Clan leader, Buuzaabo, on March 1, 2024.

The late Daniel Bbosa was gunned down on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Lungujja, Lubaga Division, in Kampala by three assailants on a motorcycle, armed with an AK 47 rifle, four days ago.

The assailants were pursued and knocked down by a boda-boda rider at Bulange, Mengo. The boda boda rider raised an alarm that attracted an angry mob who pursued them and beat them, killing one Serunkuma Enock.

Lujja Noah, the second suspect, sustained injuries and was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital. The third suspect is currently on the run and is being hunted by police.
