The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Manifesto implementation President Willis Bashasha has revealed that the NRM manifesto 2021-26 is 84% done and in working progress with promises that the 16% will be done before the next elections.

He made the remarks while launching the Manifesto week on November 15th, 2024, at the Auditorium hall, Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala.

Bashasha stated that the manifesto being implemented is one that was pledged by the NRM during the 2021 campaigns, stating that as of November 2026, 84% of the manifesto has been implemented, and some are in the working progress.

“Out of the 809 commitments that were pledged to NRM during the 2021 campaigns, 281 commitments have been done while 395 are in working progress with the majority in the completion stages. Only 16 have not yet started, but we promise that by the next elections they will be done. This marks the NRM government as one that has listened to the citizens demands and implemented them,” he stated.

The Minister of Presidency, Milly Babalanda, stated that the NRM party identified five thematic areas of development and made commitments to its citizens that aimed at taking the country to modernity, stating that it has stuck to making sure that the commitments are fully done by 2026.

“NRM identified the following areas as key to the development of the country and its citizens: firstly, creating jobs and wealth for all Ugandans; delivering education, health, and water; ensuring justice and equity; protecting life and property; and achieving economic and political integration. This is what we based on as we made pledges to the citizens, and it is what we are fulfilling,” she stated.

Babalanda pronounced a directive on behalf of the prime minister to all ministers and local government leaders to explain to citizens the progress the NRM government has made on its manifesto.
