The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has announced the commencement of essential remedial works at the Mabira section on the Kampala-Jinja highway.

This decision comes in response to the deteriorating road conditions that have raised safety concerns among motorists.

In a statement released on November 22, 2024, on their official X handle, UNRA said that the exercise is set to begin on November 23, 2024, and conclude by December 7, 2024.

“During the maintenance period, traffic will be restricted to one lane,” prompting UNRA to advise road users to utilize alternative routes such as the Mukono-Kyetume-Katosi-Kisoga-Nyenga/Njeru road for their journeys.
