Police Hunt Suspect for Killing Partner in Bukedea District

Police in Bukedea district are investigating the murder of Glades Apolot, a 27-year-old woman, which occurred on September 17, 2024, following a suspected domestic dispute with her partner.

The police identified the suspect as David Ojangole, also known as Rasta, who is currently at large.

According to the Bukedea District Commander, Richard Asiimwe, the Tank Cell LC1 Lazarus Omuria confirmed the incident when he called to inform the police on what had transpired

According to Omuria, the deceased’s body was discovered naked on Wednesday morning.

Asiimwe said that the police visited the scene after receiving the report, and the deceased’s body was transported to Bukedea Health Center IV mortuary for a postmortem examination.

“We have commenced with our investigations, and we call upon the public to avail any necessary information about Ojangole’s whereabouts,” Assiimwe added.

In a related event, Ugandan athlete Rebecca Cheptegei succumbed to death after multiple organ failures after her boyfriend doused her with petrol and set her on fire over a domestic dispute.
