President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held talks with a Tanzanian delegation led by Abdulhalim Hafidh Ameir, son of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, as Uganda and Tanzania seek to strengthen their bilateral ties and cooperation.
The meeting took place on Monday, August 24th, 2026, at State House, Entebbe, where President Museveni welcomed the delegation for discussions on matters of mutual interest between the two neighbouring countries.
The delegation included George Nkya, Amal Garang and Mundhir Mohammed Nassor.
Discussions centred on areas of cooperation aimed at deepening Uganda-Tanzania relations and promoting shared interests and regional development.
The engagement underscores the longstanding ties between Uganda and Tanzania and the importance of continued dialogue in advancing cooperation between the two countries.
