A renowned local traditional healer in Kampala, Sylvia Namutebi, popularly known as Mama Fina, has left Ugandans in shock after revealing strict burial guidelines.
Namutebi, on Tuesday, January 14th, 2024, released a video clip in which she directed her daughter, Fina, to strictly ensure that she is buried as per her guidelines.
This stemmed from the chaos witnessed at the burial of MP. Muhammad Ssegirinya in Masaka, where political interference marred the ceremony.
She instructed that she should be buried at her Bulenga residence and that no politician should attend her funeral to cry crocodile tears or dominate the event with unnecessary chaos.
The healer’s instructions are reportedly rooted in her desire to avoid a repeat of the political drama witnessed recently.
Further, Mama Fina highlighted specific measures should her burial take place in the village where her mother is buried.
In this scenario, she demanded that both her grave and her mother’s be constructed within houses and secured with strong padlocks. The move, according to Mama Fina, is aimed at preventing witches from tampering with their bodies.
Her unique burial instructions now rest on the shoulders of her daughter, Fina, who must navigate the challenge of upholding her mother’s wishes. With Mama Fina’s influence and stature, it remains to be seen how these directives will play out when the time comes.
