Bar Worker Murdered in Luwero, Police Arrests Suspect 

Police in Luweero are investigating a case of murder by stabbing that occurred on March 7, 2024, at Namaliga West Village in Bombo Parish, Njimwa Sub County, Luwero District.

According to Sam Twineamazima, the Savannah regional police spokesperson, the deceased was identified as Annette Orishaba, also known as Kitty.

According to Twineamazima, the findings indicate that Orishaba was on duty at a bar in Bombo Town Council on March 6, 2024, when she demanded money owed to her by one, Mustafa Kabogoza, which sparked a quarrel between the two.

“The victim was later stabbed on the head and strangled to death by Kabogoza, who then transported the body to a valley where it was discovered by the locals in the wee hours of Thursday,” Twineamazima stated.

He stated that the locals immediately reported the murder case to the Bombo police station, and a case of murder by stabbing was registered.

Twineamazima further explained that the suspect was arrested and is currently being held in police custody, adding that some exhibits were recovered from the scene and statements were recorded by relevant witnesses.

The body is being conveyed at Mulago City Mortuary for a post-partum examination.
