A 30-year-old woman has been found dead in her house in Rubaga division, Kampala district, following multiple stabbings.

The deceased’s body, which is still unknown, was discovered on November 23, 2024, in Ndeeba village, by the locals after they saw blood flowing out of her house, which, according to Jim Sekasi, was what alerted them.

“When we entered the house, we found the deceased’s body lying in a pool of blood, which prompted us to call our LC I Chairman, who checked the body, and it had many deep stab wounds all over it,’’ Sekasi said.

While speaking to the media on November 23, 2024, the Ndeeba LC I Chairman, Godfery Nduggwa, revealed that the deceased usually leaves her workplace late at around 10:00 pm, so he believes that she might have been followed up by thugs.

He added that the deceased was brutally stabbed from inside her house with a knife, adding that whoever did it had an intent to kill her.

“It is so sad and funny that she lives near police; however, no one heard her scream for help while being attacked by the criminals,’’ Nduggwa noted.

Nduggwa cautioned locals against moving late in the night, especially near the railway, “because it is a ghetto,” which he said makes it a dangerous place to move in late.

The deceased’s body was taken to Mulago Hospital mortuary as investigations are underway.

Several tragic incidents of knife-related deaths have been reported in Uganda, highlighting ongoing issues with violence and domestic disputes.
