While wrapping his western tour, the National Unity Platform (NUP) party President, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has on Thursday, August 31, 2023, called upon Kabale residents to record and post any content that violets human rights in a quest to defend democracy.
While addressing the crowds of people in Kabale who had gathered to have a look at the artist turned into politician, Kyagulanyi said that the current regime has failed on democracy.
“I want to call upon everyone to use your phones and record any kind of human rights abuse and share on social media so that we can use it as evidence,” Kyagulanyi said.
While on his tour, Kyagulanyi was also hosted on 103.7 K-town FM where he revealed that he and other colleagues have already taken President Museveni to the ICC for human rights abuse.
He also echoed that the World Bank stopping to fund Uganda is a good thing and thanked the International Community for waking up to this cause.
“We are happy that these international money lenders are waking up because even when all the aid is given to Uganda it is embezzled through corruption,” Kyagulanyi added.
He thanked the people of Kabale for the warm welcome and said that he was there to deliver a message of hope to all Ugandans who are watching and listening out there.
