Namibia will host its inaugural Commonwealth Business Summit from June 18th to 20th, 2025, with a focus on investment opportunities, digital transformation, and enhancing supply chains across Commonwealth nations.
The Commonwealth Secretary-General, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, stated that the summit aims to bring together business leaders, policymakers, and trade experts to bridge the gap between policy and business, fostering collaboration and driving sustainable economic growth across the Commonwealth.
“I am delighted to invite our business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors across our family nations to the first ever business summit in Windhoek, Namibia come June 2025. A trusted network of 56 nations united by values and vision to drive trade, investment and innovation’’ Botchway said.
She further emphasized that the Commonwealth Business Summit comes at a time of global uncertainty, which demands bold solutions to address trade tensions, accelerate digital transformation, and promote sustainable energy. She noted that these challenges can be overcome by empowering small businesses, particularly those led by women and young people.
Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade Ambassador Selma Ashipala Musavyi, also revealed that the common wealth business summit will be a platform giving unique opportunity to network with policy makers, business leaders and investors from across the common wealth nations.
Namibia as host of the common wealth summit, Not only showcases Africa’s potential as a business hub but also reaffirms the shared values and vision that unite the Commonwealth family.
The outcomes of this summit will echo well beyond its conclusion, laying the groundwork for a more connected, prosperous, and forward-looking global community.
