In a brief statement released by FUFA on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, it was confirmed that Micho is no longer the coach of the Uganda Cranes, hardly two weeks after the national team lost the bid for the African Cup of Nations.
According to the statement, FUFA confirmed that Mincho’s termination was mutually agreed upon with him, implying that he had been heavily compensated.
His sacking comes at a time when the Uganda Cranes are aspiring for 2026 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled to begin in November 2023.
