Ugandan musician Maro, real name Ronald Magada, is back in the country from Germany (where he is currently based), ahead of his performance at the Roast and Rhyme festival slated for Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.
Maro, who arrived on Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, was excited about the warm welcome he received at the Entebbe International airport, and he took to his social media handle, X, saying that such small things energize humans.
“The flowers were well received. My lovely UGANDA. Obuntu obutono nga buno! Buzza mu amaanyi boyi! Thank you all for making time at that time of the night,” Maro tweeted.

The 37-year-old has built a legacy in the music industry with hits like Mubbi Bubbi, Rising Star, Kyokoba, Fala, Like Monalisa, The Girl in the Yellow Jumper, El Chuzo, Las Infieles, Family Christmas, Lutalo, Chip In, Bring It On, and Give Thanks—God Knows, Vibe, Baana Ba Beene, Imani, and many others.
Maro’s music career spans over a decade, and his breakthrough came in 2010 with the song Toneraga featuring Empress and Mikie Wine. He has since released several successful albums, including Sula Bulungi, Genda Ewamwe, and Departures.
As a talented singer-songwriter, Maro has collaborated with artists like Mark Forster, Jose Chameleone, Maurice Kirya, David Lutalo, King Saha, and others.
