    Nyege Nyege is a festival in Uganda that promotes outsider music, primarily electronic by African artists. It was founded in 2013 by Arlen Dilsizian and Derek Debru. Its name refers to a Swahili word describing “a sudden, uncontrollable urge to dance.”

    Mapeera Kigungu Catholic Church Torched

    According to archives from Catholic literature, Mapeera Church was built on the spot in Kigungu, where the two French missionaries of Fr. Siméon Lourdel, also known as Mapeera and Brother Amans Delmas, arrived in the country on 17 February 1879.
