A senior official at the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), was found dead in her home in Wampewo, Kasangati, on Friday morning.

Fatuma Nabiwemba, who served as the Deputy Head of the Department of Inspections and Quality Assurance, had been missing for three days prior to the discovery of her body.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, and authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.

This marks the second time Nabiwemba has gone missing. In December 2017, she disappeared for nearly two and a half months, sparking a major police search.

Her husband, Ibrahim Ssendagire, at the time suspected her absence was connected to the grief from the loss of their two-month-old child, attributing her disappearance to postnatal depression.

Nabiwemba’s sudden death has raised questions among her colleagues and the public.

The DPP office has yet to comment on the matter. Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of death.
