Uganda Police have broken their silence, dismissing claims that they have turned a blind eye to multiple complaints of misconduct and indiscipline involving presidential adviser and singer Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as ‘Full Figure‘.
Speaking during a security press briefing on August 1, 2025, Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke addressed concerns raised by a journalist who alleged that several cases of aggressive misconduct against Full Figure remain unresolved.
Kituuma clarified that the police handle all complaints brought before them and urged anyone with grievances against Full Figure to formally report their cases.
“If you feel you are one of them, go to police. If there is any police officer who has failed to work on your case, escalate the matter. It is an offense if a police officer refuses to handle a matter,” Kituuma emphasized.
He encouraged complainants to take unresolved matters to senior officers or supervisors if assistance at local stations is inadequate.
Meanwhile, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango revealed that investigations are underway following a violent assault on Full Figure. The incident, captured in a video circulating on social media, shows the singer being attacked along Kyadondo Road while on her way to a press conference organized by Moses Kalangwa, a Central Executive Committee contestant.
Police have identified the suspects as Justin Nameere, the NRM party’s Masaka District Woman MP flag bearer, and her husband. Onyango confirmed that a manhunt has been launched for the duo and appealed to the public for assistance.
According to Full Figure’s statement, the assailants beat her and allegedly stole her phone and Shs500,000 before fleeing the scene.
Police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to ensure justice is served.
