Oyat warned that commuters are already stranded and fares are rising because no immediate alternatives have been provided. She urged the government to temporarily deploy institutional buses to ease the shortage, especially ahead of schools reopening.

The case could be related to the corruption scandals that hve been transpiring in Uganda’s Parliament that led to the former Speaker, Annet Anita Among’s property search and impounding of her cars by police.
Security agencies say the operation forms part of wider efforts to dismantle urban criminal networks and restore public confidence in Mityana Municipality.
