Four Students Held Over Murder in Gulu City

Police in Gulu City have arrested four students for allegedly murdering a 29-year-old person during  Independence celebration.

The deceased has been identified as Rubangakene Samuel, a resident of the Airfields cell police.

It is alleged that the suspects, while returning from disco, attacked the deceased on October 10th at around 5:40 a.m. and assaulted him to death over a girl.

Police later retrieved the body from the roadside between Gulu Army SS and St. Jude Orphanage Primary School.

The suspects include Rubangakene Paul David, an 18-year-old student; Okot Ivan Anthony, an 18-year-old student; Lual Deng Dit, an 18-year-old South Sudan student; and Opoka Ammalon, a 15-year-old male juvenile.
