The opposition National Unity Platform Party (NUP) has maintained that they will continue with the mobilization tour despite police directives.

MP Joe Ssenyonyi, the NUP spokesperson, claimed the regime is terrified by the massive support they received in the country’s mobilization tour.

“Arua was the last event; we will go for our convention in Canada, and after that, we shall embark on the second phase,” said Ssenyonyi.

On Wednesday, the police halted NUP’s mobilization activities, claiming they had been marred by violence, illegal processions, incitement, and mob justice.
