Addressing large campaign gatherings in the two districts, President Museveni emphasized that the NRM’s legacy in Northern Uganda is anchored on peace and wealth creation which he described as the foundation for sustainable development.

He highlighted ongoing transformation across the region, citing improvements in road infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and access to energy for production and value addition as visible outcomes of deliberate NRM planning.

The President said that government investments in commercial agriculture and industrialization continue to create opportunities for households to move from subsistence to income generation, urging the public to fully embrace wealth creation programs.

Joining the rallies, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda and Government Chief Whip, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, lauded President Museveni’s visionary leadership, describing him as a dependable leader who has consistently championed programs aimed at transforming livelihoods.

“There is no candidate more reliable than the one who has made history by introducing wealth creation projects to turn every household into a money-generating economy,” Obua said.

He attributed the prevailing peace in West Nile and the wider Northern Uganda to President Museveni’s steady leadership, referring to him as “the pacifier of Nebbi, Gulu, and the entire region.”

Hon. Obua further echoed the First Lady’s call against violence, tribalism, and hatred, appealing to residents to maintain unity and continue supporting the NRM’s agenda of peace and prosperity.

Museveni’s message of consolidating peace and accelerating wealth creation remains central to the ruling party’s strategy to sustain its political dominance and drive Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
