Airtel Uganda has declared an interim dividend of UGX 74 billion for the quarter ending 31st March 2025, with each shareholder set to receive UGX 1.85 per share.

The payout, approved by the company’s Board of Directors on May 23, 2025, is expected to be made by or before 3rd July 2025, after deductions for withholding tax.

The information was made public in a statement issued on 23rd May 2025 by the Company Secretary, Godfrey Bakibinga, who clarified the key dates and procedures for shareholders to receive their dividends.

“The interim dividend shall be payable to shareholders whose names appear in the Company’s share register at the close of business on 12 June 2025,” Bakibinga stated.

“This will be the official book closure date in line with Rule 41 of the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) Listing Rules, 2025,” he added.

He urged all shareholders to ensure their details are up to date to avoid delays.

“Shareholders are advised to update their current payment details and contact information with the Company to ensure dividend payments and other communications are received correctly and on time,” he said.

The UGX 1.85 per share declared for this quarter is slightly lower than the UGX 2.075 per share that was issued in November 2024 for the quarter ending September 2024.
