She Cranes arrive in Namibia, for the 2024 Africa Netball Cup

The She Cranes have arrived safely in Namibia, ready to make their impact at the 2024 Africa Netball Cup.

The team touched down at Hosea Kutako International Airport and then traveled over 400 kilometers by road to Swakopmund, the coastal city hosting the renowned tournament.

This year’s tournament will feature nine other African giant net-balling nations like South Africa, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, which happens to be the hosting nation.

The She Cranes, who last won this tournament in 2018, come into this tournament with high gears, having won bronze in the recently concluded Fast5 World Series tournament.

The She Cranes are drawn in group B, where they will face stiff competition from hosts Namibia, Eswatini, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe.

With the She Cranes eyes set on securing an excellent finish, Coach Bogere’s squad that has landed in Namibia is a blend of experience and youthful energy, balanced to challenge their opponents.

She Cranes star Faridah Kadondi, who is debuting at the tournament, aims to leave her mark and lead the team to victory.

“I traveled with the team in 2021, but I didn’t feature in any game. This will be my first time playing in the tournament. I look forward to doing my usual best,” she said.

This year’s competition is slated to start on December 9th to 14th, 2024, at MTC Dome, Swakopmund Municipality, Namibia.
