To strengthen the regional response, Museveni proposed establishing Ebola treatment centres inside eastern DRC in partnership with the Congolese government.

Dr. Crispus Walter Kiyonga, the new Chancellor for Makerere University, has pledged to work with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Barnabas Nawangwe, and other stakeholders of the university to establish the main problems faced by the university and come up with the best solutions to solve these problems.
