The aspiring Member of Parliament for Bugabula North, Francis Adepo, has pledged to rewrite the destiny of Bugabula North through his political strategies built on credibility and real solutions.

While speaking on a phone call interview on Monday, November 24th, 2025, Adepo revealed his strategies, including Youth Financial Empowerment, women’s village empowerment Model, a technical school in every Sub-County, effective and accessible representation, and strong coordination with district Leadership, among others.

“With many young people dropping out of school due to poverty, I intend to introduce structured youth livelihood programs, entrepreneurship support, and access to startup capital across all villages. Every village will have active, supported women’s groups—with targeted funding, capacity-building, and income-generating opportunities,” Adepo said.

According to Adepo, to break the cycle of unemployment, plans to establish one vocational institute per sub-county are imperative to equip young people with employable skills in construction, welding, carpentry, and mechanics, among others.

“Bugabula North has long suffered from absentee leadership. As an incoming Member of Parliament, I promise visible, accessible, accountable representation and to ensure that people’s voices reach Parliament—and decisions made in Kampala benefit my constituency,” Adepo said.

Adepo said that Kamuli’s most remote and historically underserved constituency stands at a turning point, adding that for decades, communities in Kagumba, Nabwigulu, Namasagali, Balawoli, and Balawoli Town Council have struggled with poor services, limited opportunities for young people, and a lack of consistent parliamentary representation.

However, according to Adepo, history is being challenged by a fresh, educated, determined, and highly positioned leader who is a youthful, dynamic, and nationally recognised figure stepping forward as a candidate for Member of Parliament, Bugabula North, on the FDC ticket.

Who is Adepo Francis?

At just 28 years old, Adepo Francis already occupies some of the most strategic positions in youth and continental democracy spaces, including National Youth League Chairman, FDC, Deputy Secretary General, Young Democracy Union of Africa (YDUA), Vice Chairperson, Multiparty Youth Forum (MYF), President, Morocco-Uganda Pan African Youth Movement, Teacher and Lecturer in different Institutions of Learning and Former Dean of Students Metropolitan International University among others.

Meanwhile, FDC’s Adepo is contesting with incumbent John Teira, who is on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party ticket and George Mulindwa who is independent, Joy Lyavala, on the National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket among others.
