The Commissioner for Community Policing, CP Anatoli Muleterwa, has called on students to prioritize discipline and education as key pillars for a successful future during a crime prevention sensitization session held at Bishop’s Senior School in Mukono District.
The engagement, conducted on March 3rd 2026, brought together students from various schools across the district and formed part of the Uganda Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen crime prevention awareness among young people while promoting responsible behavior in schools.
Addressing the learners, CP Muleterwa emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, staying focused on academics, and avoiding actions that could jeopardize their future.
He cautioned students against engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, gang-related activities, and school strikes, warning that such behaviors carry serious legal consequences that can negatively impact their lives.
The Community Policing Commissioner further highlighted the dangers of violence and examination malpractice, urging students to uphold integrity and make choices that support both their personal growth and academic success in and outside the classroom.
“You are at a defining moment in your lives where every choice you make today has the power to shape the future you will live tomorrow. Choose discipline, choose purpose, and stay on the right side of the law,” CP Muleterwa emphasized.
School administrators welcomed the initiative, noting that such engagements play a vital role in reinforcing discipline and guiding students toward productive paths.
The sensitization session is part of a broader community policing strategy aimed at building stronger partnerships between law enforcement and educational institutions, while equipping students with knowledge to make informed and responsible decisions.
By directly engaging students, the program aims to nurture responsible behavior, promote lawfulness, and build a generation that actively contributes to a safer society.
