NUP Organizes a Patriots’ Day Run in United States

The National Unity Platform (NUP) party has organized a run dubbed “NUP Patriots’ Day 2K Run” scheduled for Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 8:00 am, East African Standard Time, with an aim of supporting families and victims of those who were arrested during demonstrations.

According to Dr. Daniel Kawuma, the Chairman Executive Committee NUP-DC 2023 and one of the main organizers in the diaspora, the venue for the function will be Long Bridge Park, Arlington, Virginia 333 Long Bridge Dr, Arlington, VA 22202 in the United States (US).

Kawuma in a statement noted that, the reason for this run is to support families and victims of torture and abductions in Uganda.

“Join Us in Solidarity with the Victims and Their Families! NUP Patriots’ Day 2K Run; Supporting families and victims of torture and abductions in Uganda,” the statement read.

The party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu will be among the guest speakers, and the theme for the event is “Make a Difference, Make a Stand!”
