President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will launch the construction of the new Busoga Kingdom Headquarters in Bugembe, Jinja, a move aimed at strengthening cultural leadership, boosting regional development, and reinforcing his focus on education and wealth creation.

The launch ceremony will take place at the current Busoga Kingdom Headquarters, where the President is expected to meet cultural leaders and discuss development priorities for the Kingdom and the wider Busoga sub-region. The project represents a major step in modernizing the administrative and cultural institutions of Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga.

Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Hajj Faruk Kirunda, who also serves as Special Assistant on Press and Mobilization, confirmed the President’s schedule. Kirunda noted that Museveni is currently conducting campaign rallies in Luuka and Kamuli Districts as part of his final engagement activities in the Busoga region.

In previous addresses, President Museveni has commended the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope, for promoting unity, peace, and regional development.

“I wish you many more prosperous and healthy years as you continue to steer the Kingdom towards greater heights,” he said.

The President has also emphasized his administration’s commitment to education and wealth creation, highlighting ongoing efforts to ensure that every parish has a government primary school and every sub-county has a secondary school, reinforcing access to learning and opportunity across the region.

The groundbreaking is expected to attract cultural leaders, government officials, and community stakeholders, marking a milestone in the partnership between the central government and traditional institutions in Uganda.
