Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua has called for a special meeting of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Group at State House Entebbe.
This was confirmed by a notice from the office of the Government Chief Whip, dated Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The notice did not provide a detailed agenda for the meeting but implied that an urgent and critical issue requires the immediate attention of the NRMs MPs.
Additionally, it advised the MPs to undergo a Covid-19 test at the Parliament Building.
“All members are required to undertake a Covid-19 test at the Parliamentary Conference Hall B, Parliament Building from Wednesday 12th March 2025 (11:00 am – 6:00 pm) to Thursday 13th March 2025 starting at 8:00 am – 5:00 pm,” reads part of the notice.
The previous special meeting occurred on Friday, March 7, 2025, at State House Entebbe, and was chaired by President Yoweri Museveni.
Obua stated that the previous meeting aimed to align budget priorities for the 2025/2026 financial year. The caucus agreed to support ten key priorities, including security, human capital development, wealth creation, and infrastructure.
