The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party has tasked the Uganda Police to quickly establish and provide the details of the gun that was used by assailants to assassinate Daniel Bbosa, the Buganda Ndiga (Sheep) clan leader.

According to John Kikonyogo, the FDC party Spokesperson, the gun details will be used to quickly investigate the murder case and arrest those who may be behind such criminal acts. He also believes that such information can aid in the investigations of recent related cases, including the killing of Pastor Bujjingo’s driver, among others.

He added that they don’t expect several stories from the police because the assailants were trailed by vigilant locals and one was lynched, leaving the other with severe injuries.

“We don’t want many stories from the police because, by coincidence or by luck, the people of my village, Lungujja, took it upon themselves to lynch the murderers,” Kikonyogo said.

He made the remarks during the press conference held at FDC party headquarters in Najjanankumbi on Monday, February 26, 2024.

“As FDC, we are appealing to the police to do whatever it takes to make sure that the killer who survived gets the best medication Uganda has to recover to access more information from him,” he added.

He further said that the police should quickly update the public on where the gun came from because, with the gun recovered, such a case is easy for police to investigate.

Commenting on the deceased’s life, Kikonyogo revealed that Bbosa was a peaceful man who was never controversial to anyone, explaining that he was a real saved man who died calling the name of Jesus.

“He was not only a saved man in words, but also in practice,” Kikonyogo said.

Ndiga (Sheep) clan leader Daniel Bbosa was shot dead on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from inside his car near his home in Lungujja parish, Lubaga Division, Kampala.
