Sudanese General Yasser has dared Kenyan President William Ruto to deploy troop to Sudan saying they are ready for immediate confrontation.

In a video shared on social media, Gen. Al-Atta, the member of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan, accused Ruto of funding Mohamed Hamdan ‘Hemedti’ Dagalo’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to continue battling the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) for control of Khartoum since the downfall of the transitional government.

He said the Kenyan army without the support of East African Forces currently conducting joint peacekeeping operations in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is way below capability to defeat his group in Sudan.

“The state (Kenya) that supports you (RSF) and the mercenaries like you with money must also bring its army. Leave the East African forces and come with your army to intervene, and we are waiting for you,” Al-Atta threatened.

The Sudanese military rulers have also pointed fingers at an unnamed Gulf country for supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

“Sudan is not the game of every unscrupulous politician, profiteer, and mercenary,” said Al-Atta.

SAF rejected Ruto as the mediator of the ongoing conflict after he was appointed by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and instead called for South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit to head the mediation team.

Meanwhile, the pro-democracy coalition of the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) is holding its first meeting in Cairo, Egypt, since the war began in Sudan.
