Türk emphasized the fact that gross human rights violations are still taking place in the country and may even be crimes against humanity that demand accountability through the International Criminal Court and universal jurisdiction.
The program includes a Declaration of Principles that highlights national sovereignty and shared economic gains. It seeks to promote business partnerships and support conditions that attract investment across different regions, initially focusing on the Western Hemisphere.
The statement highlighted that both sides presented updates on steps taken to reduce tensions and advance implementation on the ground. These updates followed earlier consultations held in Washington on March 17th–18th, 2026, which also focused on confidence-building measures.
