Police have cautioned all applicants participating in the ongoing recruitment against indulging in acts of forgery or over qualification liable to punishment.
The recruitment drive, which seeks to enlist 10,000 probation police constables, targets Ugandans with Senior Four (O-Level) qualifications.
Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke urged applicants to adhere strictly to the eligibility criteria, cautioning against submission of forged academic documents and concealment of higher qualifications.
“We’ve previously arrested candidates who attempted to forge documents. Let this serve as a warning: we will detect forgeries,” Rusoke said.
He also emphasized that overqualified individuals trying to disguise their true education levels would be committing a criminal offense.
Rusoke advised individuals with criminal records and expectant mothers not to apply, noting that “these positions need one to come with a clear medical report and clean hands.”
Interviews are currently ongoing and will continue until 4th May 2025.
