Earlier this week, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni unveiled Uganda’s new cabinet for the 2026–2031 term, maintaining several long-serving senior government figures while also introducing and elevating younger leaders into key government positions.

The cabinet line-up reflected a blend of continuity, political experience, technocratic leadership, and youth representation, with several veteran ministers retaining strategic portfolios while fresh faces entered ministries of state and economic sectors.
