President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has arrived in Uganda for an official visit expected to deepen diplomatic and economic cooperation between Kampala and Cairo, with discussions set to focus on regional security, trade, agriculture, and water resource management.

According to FDC’s legal team, several clauses violate the 1995 Constitution, including redefining diaspora citizens as foreigners and criminalizing opposition activity. The party further argued that the bill duplicates existing laws and risks economic disruption by restricting foreign funding.
As Nelson Mandela observed, nations can choose between conflict and cooperation. Increasingly, countries are choosing negotiation, reconciliation, and coalition-building. These require political maturity, for instance, a clear ideology, internal democracy, and a willingness to compromise without losing identity.
“The transformation of Africa requires moving priority infrastructure projects from conception to implementation through coordinated planning and regional cooperation,” President Museveni noted.
AGRA has also aligned with frameworks such as the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme and supported access to climate financing through the Green Climate Fund to boost resilience among smallholder farmers.
